Gay French Riviera Enters a New Chapter

 

As you’ll see in my rather impromptu video below, I’m still getting used to being in front of the camera. But after more than 15 years of writing about LGBTQ+ life, travel and the French Riviera, I thought it was time to expand the way I share what makes this region so special.

 

I’ve already started producing video content connected to my luxury real-estate work in the region, including collaborations with some of my local business partners. But that is only part of what’s coming. I also have videos planned with people who help make up and contribute to the LGBTQ+ community here on the Riviera, and I’m looking forward to introducing you to some of them.

 

As my schedule allows, I’ll keep producing new content, with a few surprises along the way. Some topics may be a little controversial or perhaps challenge a few opinions, but I know you can handle that — and, more importantly, I want to hear what you think.

 

Gay French Riviera began back in February 2011, when Blogspot — or Blogger, as many of you may remember it — was still a major part of the online world...and it is still out there as a backup at GayFrenchRiviera.com.

I’ve always loved reading and wanted to try my hand at writing, particularly because there was very little current or useful information online about the LGBTQ+ community and experience on the Côte d’Azur.

 

Having already fallen in love with this part of France, I decided back then to see what I could contribute. Within a few months, local tourism organisations were reaching out about collaborations — long before the days of influencers and social-media creators.

 

Those relationships have continued over the years, and I’m fortunate to still work with people and organisations across the region on various projects.

 

Gay French Riviera has also opened doors to LGBTQ+ organisations, media outlets and communities around the world. That has given me the opportunity to promote the French Riviera as a welcoming destination while also sharing information about the people, places, events and experiences that make life here so interesting.

 

One organisation that deserves particular recognition is the LGBTQIA+ Centre Nice-Côte d’Azur. I’ve had the opportunity to watch the organisation grow over the years and to see the important role it plays in supporting the community throughout the year. 

 

Please continue to support them, along with the many LGBTQ+-friendly businesses, organisations and establishments that provide welcoming, safe and entertaining spaces across the region.

 

And now I’d like to make Gay French Riviera even more community-driven.
