Les Plages Électroniques Returns for a Spectacular 20th Anniversary

Every summer, Cannes transforms from the glamorous home of the world’s most famous film festival into one of Europe’s premier electronic music destinations. This August, Les Plages Électroniques returns for its landmark 20th anniversary, promising its biggest and most ambitious edition yet.

Taking place 7–9 August 2026 on the beach beside the Palais des Festivals on the legendary Croisette, the festival has evolved from a local music event into an internationally recognised celebration of electronic dance music, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from across Europe and beyond. The anniversary edition will feature three days of non-stop music, multiple stages, immersive experiences and after-parties that continue long after the sun has disappeared over the Mediterranean.

This year’s headline lineup reads like a who’s who of global electronic music.

Festival-goers can look forward to performances from Martin Garrix, Marshmello, DJ Snake, Amélie Lens, Maceo Plex, Patrick Mason, Nico Moreno, Mosimann, Mind Against, Mathame, Salvatore Ganacci, Vladimir Cauchemar, PLK and many more spread across several stages overlooking the sea. Organisers describe the anniversary programme as their largest and most diverse to date.

What makes Les Plages Électroniques unique isn’t simply its lineup. Few festivals anywhere in Europe can match its location. By day, festival-goers dance barefoot on the sand with the Mediterranean only metres away. As evening falls, the lights of Cannes illuminate the bay while world-class DJs perform against one of the Riviera’s most iconic backdrops.

The festival combines beach culture with high-energy electronic music, creating an atmosphere that differs significantly from traditional stadium or countryside festivals. Visitors often spend the mornings enjoying Cannes’ beaches, restaurants and luxury shopping before the music begins each afternoon.

To mark its twentieth anniversary, organisers are also introducing new stages, expanded immersive areas and enhanced festival experiences designed to celebrate two decades of growth. Several ticket categories—including day passes, three-day passes, Premium and VIP experiences—are available, with organisers warning that demand is expected to be particularly high for the anniversary edition.

For visitors travelling to the French Riviera, the festival provides an ideal opportunity to combine a summer holiday with one of Europe’s leading electronic music events. Cannes is easily accessible via Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and regional rail services, while its central location makes it simple to explore neighbouring destinations such as Antibes, Monaco, Nice and Saint-Tropez before or after the festival.

Whether you’re a devoted electronic music fan or simply looking to experience one of the Riviera’s signature summer events, Les Plages Électroniques offers a uniquely French combination of music, beach lifestyle and Mediterranean glamour.

As Cannes celebrates 20 years of its iconic beach festival, the city is once again preparing for three unforgettable days where the soundtrack is electronic music, the dance floor is the sand, and the backdrop is one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines.
