Le Kosma Piano Bar

Variety is the name of the game at the Kosma Piano Bar!

The Kosma Piano Bar has been a longstanding performance venue in the city of Nice that runs the gamut when it comes to entertainers in the region, everyone from legendary jazz musicians to up and coming comedians learning their craft tend to showcase regularly here.

More than your usual piano lounge bar, Kosma’s provides a unique space in Nice for all types of entertainers and of late it seems to have drawn a whole other audience to the venue, those being from the LGBT community as a number of well-known celebrity drag queens have a gotten in on the act!

No one seems to be quite sure when this all got started at the Kosma Piano Bar but no one seems to be complaining either.

When the Queens are in the house, the show is on!

And expect the unexpected with show tunes, impersonations, dance acts and comedy all wrapped into one!

Whether planned or by accident, a breath of fresh air seems to have encompassed the Kosma Piano Bar by providing another space in Nice for the gay and lesbian market and it shows in how packed the bar and dance floor get by the audiences in attendance.

The Kosma Piano Bar makes for an evening of notable entertainment and is located just steps away from Galeries Lafayette at: 8 rue Sacha Guitry near Place Massena.

Red Kafé

Summer seems to be the right moment for a new establishment to open in Nice and such is the case with the latest local hot spot, Red Kafé!

Having opened this past July at: 9 rue Halevy in what is known as a major pedestrian zone in the city. It was only natural that the foot traffic would take notice of the new business but it also didn’t take long for Red Kafé to acquire a huge following in the LGBTQ community thanks to its well-regarded owners.

With word out about Red Kafé becoming the ideal gathering place, friends and I make it one of our top locations to hang out either on the way to the beach, to have a work meeting with clients, or stopping in for a drink or two before heading to the nightclubs for the evening.
The owners seem to recognize that along with being in the pedestrian zone, their business could also become the fun zone. And it truly is fun, given the heat during the summer months in the French Riviera; the café is excellent for relaxing on their terrace watching the world go by while enjoying a cool, full bodied, delicious drink.

Yet it is also known for its great food service and atmospheric build up in the evening where you can listen to the sounds of a local DJ the owners occasionally bring in to entertain while you enjoy a drink, plan and anticipate the night ahead.

If you are visiting Nice and want to meet new people, the Red Kafé is one of the perfect locations to do so. Not only are the staff attentive but they are knowledgeable about what is currently happening in the city scene and the customers seem to like to chat with others which helps to make new friends.
